The team behind «The Sound of Music» live TV special has found their Captain von Trapp.

Singer Carrie Underwood had previously been tapped for the role of Maria.

Moyer is no stranger to the stage. A graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, the 43-year-old British actor has spent time with the National Theatre of Wales, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Oxford Stage Company and the Young Vic in England.

In July, Moyer starred in a Hollywood Bowl production of «Chicago.»

He is best known for his portrayal of Bill Compton on HBO’s vampire drama, 인제출장안마 appearing on the vampire drama series since 2008.

Set at the beginning of World War II, «The Sound of Music» tells the story of Captain Georg von Trapp, an Austrian veteran of World War I, who hires former nun Maria to care after his children. Eventually, von Trapp and Maria fall in love.

First staged in 1959, the musical went on to become a huge smash, spawning a 1965 film adaptation starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer which won five Academy Awards, including best picture.

«The Sound of Music» live holiday production will air Dec. 5 on NBC.

Attorneys have signed an agreement to dismiss a sexual harassment and 부천출장안마 discrimination lawsuit against Paula Deen, who was dropped by the Food Network and other business partners after she said under oath that she had used racial slurs in the past.

A document filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Savannah, Ga., said both sides agreed to drop the lawsuit «without any award of costs or fees to any party.» No other details of the agreement were released. The judge in the case had not signed an order to finalize the dismissal.

A house which played a part in rock-and-roll history is now open to the public.

On Friday, the childhood residence of Crickets drummer J.I. Allison was unveiled at the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The home had undergone a year of renovations before it was relocated to the center and was unveiled just in time to mark what would have been Holly’s77th birthday on Saturday.

Known for hits like 1957’s «That’ll Be The Day,» Buddy Holly and The Crickets have long been considered rock music pioneers who helped pave the way for future acts like The Beatles.

The newly-restored house was the place where Holly and 무안출장안마 Allison wrote «That’ll Be The Day.»

As Alison revealed at a recent press conference, the inspiration for their break-out hit came after the two rockers had returned from seeing a John Wayne film at a local theater.

«[Wayne] said about five times during the movie, ‘That’ll be the day,'» Alison explained, «So Buddy and I were sitting there practicing, and he said, ‘We ought to write a song.’ And I said, ‘That’ll be the day.'»

Allison pointed out that the home was also the location where the Crickets received the tragic news that Holly had died in a plane crash on Feb. 3, 1959, in Grant Township, Iowa.

«That’s part of this house’s history, it’s a sad history,» Allison said.
